We think this low-roofed prototype looks cool, but what makes it cool is its propulsion system. The Volt is a battery-powered, extended-range, electric passenger vehicle that uses a gas engine to create additional electricity, “making pit stops practically passé,” Chevy says. The technology behind the Volt concept allows the car to generate electricity from gasoline, ethanol, diesel or hydrogen.
